Executive Protection Specialist
Job Summary:
The Executive Protection Specialist primary function will be to transport staff to/from company related business meetings, corporate events, etc., as directed by the Corporation.

1.Responsible for the appearance and operation of the vehicle(s), and ensuring that it receives proper maintenance and service.
2.Maintain broad contacts with law enforcement and government agencies at the local, state federal and international levels.
3.Participate in professional organizations related to law enforcement, personnel/asset protection, with heavy emphasis on executive protection.
4.Provide support to the Corporate Security Department collecting/tabulating data on organizations that pose a threat to the company and its staff.
5.Work with others in the Corporate Security Department conducting advances and coordinating security logistics for offsite events that involve the executive staff.
6.Ability to work long and irregular hours, with possible frequent travel.
Frequent use and general knowledge of security industry practices, techniques and standards
Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
Work under only very general supervision.
BS/BA in criminal justice or the combination of education and/or experience
Typically 3 +years of experience as an executive protection specialist, law enforcement or security professional.

Experience – External:
Essential Functions
-Prior military or law enforcement experience strongly preferred
-Must maintain a valid California driver’s license with no restrictions
-Excellent driving history-Available on short notice
-Prompt and regular attendance -
-Attends [or leads] meetings or seminars as required other functions that may be assigned
Competencies & Skills
-Possess a high degree of professionalism
-Ability to interact with executives al all levels
-Dependable, trustworthy and able to exercise strict confidentiality
-Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
-Knowledge of crime demographics and terrorist/extremist organizations
-Ability to successfully complete an executive protection related defensive driving course
-Evaluate and coordinate security coverage and balance same with budget directives
-Basic computer knowledge
-Be in, and maintain excellent physical condition
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to quickly learn how use to use on-board vehicle systems (i.e., global positioning system/GPS, cellular/satellite hones, mobile computing equipment, etc.,)
-Maintain a valid California drivers license w/o restrictions
