Great video Joe. I have been in this business for over 20 years, and I can tell you that there are many pros and cons . The job is so much better looking on the outside, but a great career to get into nonetheless. With that said, Let me offer you the following sage advice but please consider it from your perspective not as gospel, but merely as one old dog sharing what has worked for him. If you don’t get in the business for the right reasons, or with the wrong perceptions, your going to get a reality check. See article (The Truth on Clients)

  2. Six Says:

Great advice Joe on the pros and cons as most people on the outside looking in miss the true dedication and servant leadership we provide. You can’t get in this business the business has to be in you. There is nothing sexy about being up before everyone else or going to bed after everyone else, or being the only one at the party not partying. But there is nothing more rewarding then when a client lets you know you make them feel at ease and they and their family feel safe when you are around.

Very well said, Joe. As usual, right on target. Say hi to Bill for me.

Mr. Lasorsa your are right about not letting the clients get ahead of themselves, I was part of the group that was getting orders from clients who thought they knew about safety. I was the first to ever pull him aside and let him know that he was paying us to provide a service and its our job carryout that service, his reply was “I always tell people what to do” he understood and stated to me that he had been waiting to find a team of guys who knew what they where doing.
