  1. Michael Basedow Says:

All who said “False” are wrong. The closed Protective Service Agent (Bodyguard) to the Principle (Boss) is the team leader. This position in the professional field is called Personal Security Officer (PSO) or is short PSO.

    Former PSO of Colin Powell

  2. Alonzo Gomez Says:

And, with all due respect, those who substitute “closed” for close, “priciple” for principal, and boss for client… are also wrong.
In California, PSO is the accepted acronym for Proprietary Security Officer, BTW, and a synonym to Team Leader would be Agent In Charge.

    Hucky,

Once an individual casts his vote and the results are revealed, is the correct answer the one highlighted in bold print?

    Jim

  4. Hucky Says:

No Jim, the bold represents what your answer was. I will post the answer in next week’s poll

  5. Doug Runyon Says:

Both terms seem to have varied meanings. I’ve heard Detail Leader, Team Leader, Shift Leader, PSO and Agent-in-Charge all used interchangeably at times over the years. I’ve also heard the term PSO used by some to describe the primary agent in a close protection formation, and then by others to describe every single person who provides personal security.

It’s similar to the term (acronym) PSD. Some think it’s high threat (sand box type) stuff only, while others think it applies to the corporate world as well.

It would seem that standard meaning/definition/usage has gone by the wayside and people use various terms in whatever way they want.
