Purpose and Scope: Manage the implementation and follow-up on Polo Ralph Laurenâ€™s event and executive protection programs in partnership with both the Vice President and Senior Director of Loss Prevention Operations. The Director of Event and Executive Protection position is critical in protecting the Ralph Lauren Brand by ensuring key individuals and events are reasonably secure from potential risks.

Utilize training and expertise to develop security event planning template for general event planning; including general guidelines on potential cost and risks concerns.
Lead Polo Ralph Lauren Security on high profile events, such as: Fashion Shows; Share Holders Meeting; Markets; Sample Sales; Philanthropy Events; and any other key events with significant brand implications.
Act as lead LP liaison between external organizations (i.e. – Police Departments; Fire Departments; Third Party vendorsâ€¦) on event planning and security expectations.
Ensure coordination on Polo Ralph Lauren event security and the potential internal and external VIP executives attending events.
Periodic strengths, weakness, opportunities and threat (SWOT) assessments on new and ongoing Polo Ralph Lauren activities and events and development and implementation of appropriate proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Partner with VP of LP and Sr. Director of LP Ops. on development and implementation of Executive Protection (EP) program and on Integrating of program with overall Crisis Management program & Business continuity plan.
Periodic risk and threat assessments on key executives and development and implementation of appropriate proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Ensure proper EP planning and communication regarding key executives traveling to â€œhigh riskâ€ areas in partnership with Polo Ralph Lauren Travel Department and respective individual executive assistants.
Ensure EP program fits with Polo Ralph Lauren culture and executives privacy while minimizing risks to Top executives.
Partner with external organizations (i.e.- Police Departments; Fire Departments; Third Party vendorsâ€¦) on specific executive protection needs and concerns.
Minimum five years experience in security / loss prevention roles including securing high profile events and individuals. Director experience preferred.
Bachelorâ€™s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
Knowledge of event and executive protect basics required.
Strong partnership and high profile communications skills needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Capacity to make critical under-pressure decisions in emergency situations a must.
Extensive knowledge of event coordination.
Working knowledge of key physical security systems, such as alarms, access control systems and general protection measures.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Must attend and complete the following training:
American Society Industrial Security (ASIS) organization â€œExecutive Protection Trainingâ€ Program and certification.
American Society Industrial Security (ASIS) :Certified Protection Professional (CPP)â€: including program training, exam and certification
American Management Association (AMA) training on Strategic Planning: intended to support development of Event/EP Planning Process.
John Jay School of Criminal Justice â€œVIP Protection Programâ€.
Three Month Training on Event and Executive Protection conducted by Executive Protection training expert.
NYS Security Guard at training and certification.
