I was stunned to get the news early this morning that a colleague to many us, Doug Runyon passed last night of an apparent heart attack.
For those of you that did not know or have an opportunity to work with Doug, he was a class act through and through and a great EP advance agent. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts. Doug you will be sorely missed.
It’s been 6 months today the EP community lost a fantastic agent in Doug. I also lost the best friend I ever had..I think of him everyday and do my best to carry myself and live in a way he would have been proud of. We miss you Doug…

Doug was more than my uncle, he was my big brother. He was always there to pick up the pieces and push me forward. He was an inspiration for me to be decent, honest, professional, and be the best I can in all that I do. He is dearly missed by his family and it is touching to hear such comments from his friends and collegues. It just proves how many lives Doug did touch.
I will always love and miss you Doug. You always be my big brother.
As a personal friend for 18 years, he will be missed. Reading your comments allows me to realize the lives he has touched.
Doug Runyon was one of the good guys; a high-integrity, competent, professional with a terrific sense of humor and an intellect to match.
He was a trusted colleague, a great friend, and a wonderful human being.
I will miss him terribly.

Doug was my closest colleague and friend. He helped me break into this business and always went out of his way to offer guidance and wisdom, doing it with class and professionalism. I will be forever grateful for having had the chance to know, work with, and call Doug the best friend I had.
R.I.P. Doug.
I was stunned to hear of Doug’s passing today. He gave me my first on-air television news job at WTHI back in 2007. He was a great guy. He was funny. I’ll never forget him.
My condolences…

Enjoyed my interactions with Doug over the years. My condolences to his family.
Doug was a great guy. I have had the pleasure to work with Doug for a few years now, he was always professional and knowledgeable. More importantly he was a great person and agent. He was relaxed and confident with whatever he did. To say a great Advance agent is a complete understatement. I would show Dougs advance reports he did for us to other teams as an example to go by when performing work. Doug will surely be missed by everyoen that had the honor to come across him. Rest in peace.
