I finally had an opportunity to sit down and go through my personal copy of the latest edition of the Circuit magazine. For those of you who don’t know by now, the Circuit Magazine is geared specifically towards the EP industry. I consider it a great resource for new individuals and seasoned veterans.
One particular article caught my attention by Gus Macgregor. The article is entitled ‘Prospecting for New Business.’ Considering today’s economic climate, I thought Gus had several valid points that all EP’s should consider.
Here’s a particular quote from the article, “Your primary aim should be to get in front of as many prospective clients as possible. Selling is a numbers game, the more balls you throw up in the air the more balls will fall down.” Gus makes a very valid point, selling and marketing is not rocket science, it’s a numbers game. If you don’t get in front of enough people, you will be limiting opportunities that you have for business plain and simple.
