Bodyguard Careers is an informational site with the purpose of providing bodyguards with all the information and tools necessary to succeed in the executive protection industry.
Hucky: Great video post, three very important points and a great learning experience. I like the video format. Keep safe.

This clip is a neat little primer, but there’d be so much to say on this topic. I’m frankly sick of hearing those “why, oh why, can’t I find work?” cries, to be honest.
Yes, it IS a hard job to get into. But I don’t make too many friends when I advise people to first take a long and even harder look at themselves as job candidates. When lazy (or not willing to hurt feelings), I just point them to this site, but the truth is that few are interested in research and self-assessment.
The way I see it, bodyguarding is a little like show business that way: a niche job at which some very lucky few manage to make a very nice living while hordes of mostly unemployed dreamers can’t seem to ever “get a break”. And while there IS nepotism, favoritism, and randomness… the majority of the second group either doesn’t have the chops period, or just expect to be handed stardom without having to put in any kind of effort, like pay dues or study the craft.
I must add (but it could be an LA thing) that I do see a LOT of working guys out there who appear to have only size going for them! So there’s hope for some… provided that they can eat enough. 😉
Shamuel you’re 100% spot on. It’s really unfortunate to see that so many individuals can’t follow simple directions.

9 months security academy (in Finland this is security for guard or VIP protection LIC) psychology studies female Russian/English/Finnish speaking
Harlan, I’ll tell you one more reason, it has happened to me a lot of times, I am already tired and exhausted to hear it; you know what it is?…simple, APPLICANTS MUST BE USA CITIZENS ONLY; that’s it. Abroad companies don’t look at south American applicants, their trash can is full of our resumes; I am from Colombia, it has been difficult for me to get an abroad job; I’m still unemployed; and I am still keeping up my job searches day by day; so far no good results.
