Gaddafi Bodyguards
Gaddafi Bodyguards: Quite a few decades ago, men of the world believed that a woman’s place is in the kitchen. This notion still holds truth to this day for the women in the Islamic world who are not known to be equal to men.
Women’s emancipation has come in an unorthodox away for the country of Libya. No matter how hard it is to believe, there is one leader who selected his executive protection personnel to consist exclusively of women. Muammar Gaddafi Bodyguards are a group of all female, gun toting posse of virgins who take a vow of chastity as soon as they become one of Gaddafi Bodyguards. Some people believe that Gaddafi is a mad man; however there is actually reason to his madness when it comes to his bodyguards.
In 1979 as a dedication to his mother, and the promise he made to her to improve the women’s status in the Muslim world, Gaddafi established an all women elite military academy where one hundred women, handpicked by Gaddafi himself are allowed to attend. These female bodyguards are trained for three years in areas from martial arts, firing artillery, and rocket launchers, to hand to hand combat and communications.
It is worth noting the loyalty that these women exhibit towards Gaddafi, and the fact that they vow to protect him with their own lives. The prime example is the story of Aisha, known as Gaddafi’s favorite female bodyguard, who sacrificed her life by throwing herself on top of Ghadafi to protect him when his motorcade was ambushed by Islamic militants.
Even though when working for Gaddafi one knowingly puts her life in immediate danger, there is prestige associated with this job. It is worth noting that Muammar Gaddafi female bodyguards escort him everywhere he goes (day or night) and they are required to wear lipstick, jewelry, and high heels. Gaddafi Bodyguards follow a training routine similar to the Spartan’s over 4000 years ago; in the 21st century we are witnessing a revolution when it comes to executive protection and Gaddafi’s female bodyguards are an example of how a bodyguard’s profession is not just for men.

With all due respect to women bodyguards everywhere but Gaddafi is doing sll these just for show! I know that women make excellent bodyguards because I have worked with many them, I can get past the virgin and the lipstick thing but the high heels? I can’t for obvious reasons!

About Gaddafi, the point was that under guise of raising women’s status in an extremely patriarchal society, he actually objectifies them. That virgin requirement is telling.
I’d call Gaddafi a clown if he hadn’t been behind so many terrorist acts. “Madman” is probably more accurate.

I am female bodyguard and I get work because I am trained in martial arts, firing artillery, hand to hand combat, communications and femininate. The most important part of my training through Chief R.W. Cohen of Vortek Security in Newburgh, NY was be yourself and adapt to your situation. You should be able to defend yourself and your protectee if your wearing flats shoes or heels. What if the protectee is going out to dinner at a 5 Star restaurant you can’t wear combat boots. One day I went to training thought it was classroom; I was dress in a suit with high heels; Not knowing I had to run a 1 1/2 miles in high heels get to the target and put 2 into the kill zone and not miss. I had my a$$ kick a lot in training was yelled at like I was in the military. It taught me disciplinant and made me a lot of money because I was trained when no one else was men or women. So as a female bodyguard I know how women are not accepted because they think the we can’t do what needs to be done. There are very wrong. Whenever you are trained properly you know what needs to be done. You become a professional machine.

A dictator’s take on feminism: mandatory lipstick and high heels! Otherwise, I have a feeling that their diet greatly differs from the Spartans’ (“black broth” made of pork and blood)…
